In 1952, he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in metallurgical engineering. Then he proudly served his country in the Army, spending 18 months in Korea.
His career was in specialty metals with Latrobe Steel Company. Later, he managed three Teledyne companies.
Chuck enjoyed golf, fishing, lawn care, and working for his church.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; two sons, David S. Wendell in Winchester, MA and Donald B. Wendell in Bowling Green, OH; two grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Robert McClintock in Morganton, NC.
He was an honest, hard-working man who will be missed.
