Dr. Charlotte Wild

Dr. Charlotte Wild passed away at Riverside Hospital in Williamsburg on July 4, 2013. She was born in Hamburg, Germany on November 10, 1927, and received her medical degree from the University of Hamburg in 1953. After moving to New York to begin her medical residency, she met her future husband, C. John Wild and married in 1956. They resided in Newport News for 25 years where she practiced at Riverside Hospital as an anesthesiologist and later served as medical director of the Riverside Warwick Day Surgery Center. Charlotte is predeceased by her husband, Dr. C. John Wild and survived by four children: Tom Wild and his wife, Anne; Karen Allred and her husband, Richard; Norman Wild and his wife, Peg; Rick Wild and his wife, Jill; and six grandchildren: Brandon, Jason, Jacob, Kelly, Laura and Becky. In honoring Charlotte’s wishes, there will be no viewing or service. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 8 from 12-2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg.
