Chester James Brooks

Chester James Brooks, 61, a resident of Hampton, Virginia, died December 16, 2017. He was employed by Eastern State Hospital as a Facilities Engineer and was a member of the Army National Guard. Chester enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching wrestling, being at the beach, collecting cars and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his wife, Stephanie Brooks; father, Cecil Brooks, Sr.; sister, Sharon Garrett; and brother, Charles Brooks. Survivors include his daughters, Maxine Suarez (Jhonny), Tina Vincent (James), Jennifer Kopcik (Kevin Bolton), and Sara Brooks; grandchildren, Miguel Aguilar IV, Jacob Aguilar, Erik Suarez, Aurora Bolton and Aleczander Bolton; mother, Mary V. Brooks; sister, Sheena Jennings; and brother, Cecil Brooks, Jr. A visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, on Saturday, December 23rd at 12pm. The service will follow at 1pm in the Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the James City County Fire and Rescue, 5077 John Tyler Highway, Williamsburg Virginia 23185.
