Cynthia “Cindy” Pate Gibbs peacefully went home to the Lord on March 16, 2026. She was 72. She was transplanted to Williamsburg from New Orleans in 1986 where she met her husband, Bill, in 1988. They had been married for 38 wonderful and interesting years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Joyce Pate of Pine Island, FL and her brother, Bill Pate of Yankeetown, FL. She is survived by her husband, William Gibbs and her son and his wife, Arthur Gibbs and Marisa Gollus of Anchorage, AK.
Her working passion was accounting where she served as Controller at the Ft. Magruder Inn, Powhatan Plantation, and she retired as Financial Director at the Williamsburg Community Chapel. Her loves were historical reenacting, the French Horn, and raising Pugs. She loved helping others and served as a Stephen Minister for many years. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
The Memorial Service will be held at the Williamsburg Community Chapel on Sunday March 29, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
