Born in Kentucky, to Tilden and Gertrude Collins, David lived a life marked by kindness, hard work and a dedication to those he loved.
David was a proud father to his children, Kevin and Becky, whom he raised with his devoted wife of 60 years, Carol. He also was a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor and Madison and grand dog Winnie. He was known for his quiet strength, hard work and desire to be with family.
He started his career in the Navy, moved on to Telecommunications and ultimately finished his career at the Pentagon. Some of his passions were traveling, watching sports, playing golf and enjoying the company of good friends.
