

He was born on October 13, 1936 to the late John H. Jenson and Dorothy Powers Jenson in Norge. He joined the Air Force in 1954 and served for 21 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He then worked at Dow Badische (BASF) for many years. Upon retirement, he fulfilled his passion of having a peach and apple orchard and became known in the area for his perfectly delicious peaches.
His memory will forever be treasured by his brother, John (Jack) Jenson, Jr.; his children, Sherl Emerson (Mel), Yvonne Gurley (Steve), Allen Jenson, and Ashley Fleming (Dan); 8 grandchildren, Matthew Gurley (Amy), Zachary Emerson, Grant Gurley (Ashley), Melissa Cook (TJ), Avery Fleming, Camden Fleming, Kinley Fleming and Brooklyn Fleming; 3 great grandchildren, Avery Gurley, Zoe Gurley and Emerson Cook; nephews, Mike Jenson and Steve Jenson; and his loving kitty, Emma. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Alvis (Pete) Jenson; his first wife of 20 years, Peggy Boughton Jenson; and his devoted partner of 30 years, Shirley Baker Samuels.
David was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norge. He deeply loved his family and friends and was a proud member of his community.
His memorial service will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, on Saturday, September 7 at 1:00 PM.
