Aunt Zora & McLain family.....
We send our condolences. Uncle Herbie was a great uncle to us. I have many priceless memories of him! Taking us to Virginia Beach, family meals we shared, just to name a few, but the best one: when he tickled the heck out of me and always called me Miss Giggles! I loved that! He will really be missed! But... We'll all be together again some day! Until then.... God comfort & bless you all!

Love, Karen & Jake (Dill) Bowden

Zora and family: our condolences for your loss. David recalls your family visits to Ohio and how you all gathered at Bernice's or Imy's. What fun! My own memory of Uncle Herbie is of his kindness to a young Army wife--me--when my husband--Herbie's nephew David--was in Vietnam. Only a few words in a note or occasional phone call but he really encouraged me and made me feel part of the family as well as the Army family. Although we were not ever close as some families are, David and I often thought of his Uncle Herbie through our own long years with the Army. We are thinking of you during this sad time.
