

Growing up on the farm, his father taught him how to build and maintain mechanical equipment. He took that skill to Iowa State and earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent his career with Anheuser Busch, 8 years in St. Louis and 23 years in Williamsburg, VA.
He has lived in Queens Lake for the last 37 years, where he enjoyed boating, fishing and volunteering at the marina. His greatest pleasure during retirement was spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lana; daughter Shelley Olson; daughter Brenda Meskunas, her husband Robert and their children, Zachary, Kylie, Ryan and Alexis; his sister Pat Bush and her husband Robert; his brother Lauren Olson and his wife Teresa; along with countless friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 26 from 4-5pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA, followed by a service at 5pm.
