Eddie Wayne Thompson

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Wayne Thompson and Patricia Gaynelle Thompson.

Eddie worked for the County of York Fire & Life Safety as a firefighter for over 20 years. He enjoyed boating on the Chickahominy River, riding his motorcycle, hunting, going to the beach, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Carter Wayne Thompson and Kelsey Nicole Thompson; his sister, Tara Sue Thompson; his nephews, Austin Taylor Pitts and Hunter Andrew Pitts; as well as many close friends, and his fire department family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 6-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA. A memorial service will take place on Friday, October 23 at 1 pm at Nelsen Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a memorial fund for the children in the name of Edward W. Thompson at Citizens & Farmers Bank in Norge, VA.
