

Edna M. Allen, 95, of Williamsburg, Virginia went home to the Lord peacefully on July 3, 2015 with her daughters Christine and Lorraine present. She was born April 19, 1920 in England and had moved with her husband of 58 years, Kenneth, over 30 times between England, Canada and the US before settling on Cape Cod. They moved to Williamsburg in 1997 to be close to their three grandchildren Brian, Kimberly and Andrew.
Edna served in the British Army and was a Civil Telephone Engineer in England before becoming a full time homemaker, caring for her daughters and parents.
She enjoyed painting, reading, watching the birds and deer out her window, spending time with family, enjoying pet schnauzers, and shopping. In the past she volunteered with the local ballet society, Girl Scouts, and nursing homes.
A Memorial Tribute Service will be given by her daughters Christine and Lorraine at 6:30pm on Monday, July 27th at 4721 Captain John Smith Road, Williamsburg.
