Telly was kind, warm, loving, and a devout Catholic. She lived a gracious and humble life, was generous in every aspect, steadfast in her faith, and dedicated to her family and friends.
Telly was born in the town of Umingan, province of Pangasinan, in the Philippines on February 4, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Anacleto N. Bugayong and Soledad A. Bugayong. She completed medical school at the University of Santo Tomas, an internship at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Jamaica, NY, and residency in psychiatry at Kings Park Psychiatric Center in Kings Park, NY.
In 1970, she married the love of her life, Avelino Noble. Lino and Telly cherished every day they spent together. For the past 40 years, Williamsburg, VA, was home. She practiced psychiatric medicine in Williamsburg and the Hampton Roads area for many years in private practice, with Eastern State Hospital in Williamsburg, and the Hampton/Newport News Community Services Board and Community Resource Center in Hampton, VA.
Telly loved to travel to spend time with her family, relatives, and friends. She traveled the world with Lino by her side, visiting new places or sometimes revisiting some of her favorite places. There was no place Telly wanted to go that Lino wouldn’t take her.
Telly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lilia B. Duldulao.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Avelino; her sons (and daughters-in-law), Michael (Caroline) and Alan (Elena); and grandchildren, Kannon Noble, Anne Heaton Noble, Bianca Noble, and Moira Noble. Tetti or Yoya, as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, loved all of them so much. They are so blessed to carry with them the many memories they made together.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 18 from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home (3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA). A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 19, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Bede Catholic Church (3686 Ironbound Rd., Williamsburg, VA).
