Born on September 9, 1944, and departed on April 18, 2025, Faye gave us 80 years of wisdom and strength. She was a rare combination of someone who loved life and had a firm understanding of what was important. She embodied the simplicity of enjoying the little moments with those she loved.
Born and raised in Red Bank, TN, she was preceded in death by her father, Hobart Huffine, her mother, Lucille Huffine, and her brother, Tommy Huffine.
She attended the Dental Assistant program at Tennessee Tech.
A longtime resident of Williamsburg, VA, her shining achievements in life are her sons. Survived by her first born, Cliff Davis, and granddog Sam, and now reunited in death with her second born, Huff Davis, she was the perfect example of a kind, loving, fierce mother. She beamed reliability and was always ready with the right advice, whenever she knew she needed to give it.
Survived by her brothers, Gene Huffine (Judy) and Ward Huffine, their trips were always in the process of being anticipated or reminisced on. There was no place her little blue car couldn’t take her. Her blood ran Tennessee orange; she was a Vol through and through. She thrived there and loved being a devoted fan of the University of Tennessee, celebrating the love of the game, and the camaraderie with her family.
At any event, she would spring into action to connect all the moving parts and do what she could to make it all run smooth. Thanksgiving & Christmas will never be the same without her pound cake and made from scratch biscuits.
Beautiful, intricate puzzles decorate the walls of those she loves, a permanent reminder of how she used her focus to create something beautiful and whole out of something jumbled and scattered. A perfect lesson in patience, for us all going on without her.
She will forever be remembered as a golden soul, with a golden heart, that touched the lives of everyone that was lucky enough to meet her. She was loved by many and will be missed by more. Accompanied by warm sunshine, good food and cold drinks, we will hold a celebration to commemorate Faye’s life later this summer, with a date to be determined.
