Florence Lorraine Curran

Florence “Lorraine” Curran, 83. For 62 years, beloved wife of John “Bob” Curran.
Was preceded in death by her brothers George and Gerard Solleder and her daughter Shawn. She was the small but mighty mother of Lorraine Curran Allison and her husband Jeffery T. Allison of Burke, VA; John R. Curran Jr. and his wife Julie Curran of James City County, and William G. Curran and his wife Julie Curran, of Centreville, VA.
Mrs. & Mr. Curran’s grandchildren include Mrs. Shawn Davenport and her husband Cory of Glen Allen, Mary M. Allison of Anchorage, Alaska, Catherine Allison of Richmond, Mrs. Hannah Curran Mathews and her husband Lt. Michael Matthews and great-grandson Kayden in San Antonio, TX; William T. Allison, and Leilani Curran. Also survived by her nieces Gabrielle Solleder of San Jose, CA, Ms. Irene Solleder of Rutherford, NJ, and Mrs. Moira Kelly of Westfield, NJ.
Mrs. Curran was a proud native of Hoboken, NJ, where she and Bob married in 1959. They also resided in various areas of NJ and in Kailua, Hawaii. She has lived in Virginia for 47 years, the last 17 in Fords Colony, Williamsburg. For many years she has been a member of the Fords Colony Theater Club, Friends and Neighbors, Wine and Dine, and the Travel Club. She loved to travel and has visited Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, and frequently cruised the Caribbean Islands.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Little Sisters of the Poor, 1503 Michaels Rd, Richmond, VA 23229.
