Georgia Moody, 90, went to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep on August 15, 2017. She was born in Harlan, KY to the late Susie and Milton Thomas. Georgia was a member of Christ Community Church. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting; making beautiful afghans for the patients at the Veteran’s Hospital.
Georgia was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Moody; and her daughter, Jennifer Stout; brothers, Ted Thomas and Fred Thomas; and sister, Ester Mitchell.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Robert Moody; son-in-law, Stanley Stout (Judie); grandson, John Sparks; former granddaughter-in-law, Tina Flowers (Johnny); 2 great-grandchildren, Triston and Madison Sparks; brother, Bill Thomas (Patsy); sister-in-law, Debbie Thomas; and a host of other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Christ Community Church, 9001 Richmond Road West, Toano, VA 23168.
