Gilbert "Chico" Charles Robinson

He was born in Boston, MA where he lived most of his life. Chico served in the Navy in the early 1960’s. After retiring in 1997 from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, he and his wife moved to Virginia where he loved living in Williamsburg. Chico was an avid sports fan but football, golf and soccer were his favorites.

Survivors include his wife, Irmalinda Robinson; daughter, Irmalinda Pauline Robinson (Robert Michael Boyle); grandchildren, Nicolas E. Robinson and Sabrina D. Robinson; and siblings, Frances Heggie and Guy A. Robinson; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended relatives.

A visitation will be Monday, August 23, 2021 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg from 2:00-4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in Gilbert’s memory to Sentara Hospice Services, 11844 Rock Landing Dr., Suite C, Newport News, VA 23606 (www.sentara.com).
