

Born on July 29, 1950 to Leonard Carvutto and Joyce Cowham Carvutto. Gordon lived a life marked by dedication to family, deep friendships and a passion for the outdoors. He found great peace and fulfillment hunting and fishing with his buddies.
Gordon is survived by his beloved wife, Leslie Stockman; his brother, Tommy Carvutto and wife, Cindy along with their three children. He was a proud stepfather to Christopher and his spouse Maria, Timothy, Nathan and his spouse Kathryn; and a cherished grandfather to Devon, Gabriela, Chris, Hunter Logan, Jackson, Lincoln, Kaylee, Micaiah and Gabby. Also treasured is a great grandson, Levi.
Gordon was born and raised in Connecticut learning the value of hard work and craftsmanship from his father. His youth was spent hunting, fishing and enjoying sports, especially soccer. As a Boy Scout, Gordon was extremely proud of his Eagle Scout status which is the highest rank in the Scouts program. It is an achievement that’s respected in the community, schools and business world.
Gordon graduated from Bridgewater College with a major in Biology. It was at Bridgewater that he developed lifelong friendships that have endured for over 50 years. Those who knew him will remember his generous heart and unwavering loyalty. After college he worked in construction in the Shenandoah Valley and became a partner in the business. Always good with numbers Gordon soon found his true passion working as a Finance director for several companies including Offsite International and the Berkley Group. He was with the Berkley Group until his retirement.
Gordon will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A special thanks to Spring Arbor memory care for their love and support over the last year. It takes a village, and we are so happy you were part of ours.
A celebration of life will be held May 8th, 2025, at Nelsen’s Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia at 2:00 pm.
