Harlene Elizabeth Menns of Yorktown, Virginia passed away peacefully on Friday September 19, 2025, with her daughter at her bedside. At an early age, Harlene was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church. She attended school in Charles City County.
In her past time, Harlene loved watching WWE wrestling. Her television was always tuned into an episode of Monday Night Raw or Friday Night Smackdown. She could recall every main event and matchup she had seen. On days when she did not feel like smiling, talking about wrestling made her eyes light up.
Her daughter Lakashia D. Menns, her life companion, and children’s father Bernard D. Green preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memories her two devoted children and caregivers Yolanda (Courtland) and Bernard. The light of her world, her grandchildren, Brandon (Justice), who she affectionately called Paco; Kyara, her sweet name was Precious; and Caden who she lovingly called Baby because he was the last born of her three grandchildren. She also leaves two great-grandchildren Lana and Landon, her brother Lloyd (Ann), and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to say a special thank you, for all the years of love and support, to her sister-in-love Faye D. Manning and the Green family, Jennifer Adkins, Annie Iles, her niece Lynette Mens and her nephews David and Michael Parker.
Services will be held at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 14321 Sandy Point Rd, Charles City, Virginia at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 26, 2025, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
