Helen Clarissa Crawford

She was known for her vibrant personality and love for life. Among her many accomplishments, she had a successful career in Real Estate with Teagle Realty in Newport News, Virginia.

She was an avid bridge player and reader and now will be pursuing her lifelong joy of singing with a choir of angels in heaven.

Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Garrett DeWitt Crawford, Sr. Together they traveled the world and lived life to the fullest.

She was the beloved mother of Garrett Crawford, Jr., of Denver, CO, John Crawford of Williamsburg, VA and Merelene Valder of Charlotte, NC. She is most proud of her 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 1 from 4 to 6pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, where a service will take place on Monday, February 2 at 12pm. A private graveside service will follow.
