I went to Pastor Moon's prayer vigil Wednesday night at Susanna Wesley United Methodist Church. I was beyond upset when he left Urbanna United Methodist Church because he was the integral person that reached me when I was at the lowest point in my life. He taught me the love of God versus the fear of God. God's love is unconditional and forever with you. Pastor Moon was truly a man of God. He was loving, giving, compassionate, caring and always had a smile on his face. He would visit the ill and homebound, whether they were members of the church, their extended family, and other people in the community. His opera trained voice and piano skills always took you to another dimension, one closer to God. I never met another pastor that touched me the way he has.

Susanna Wesley was fortunate to get such a special Pastor. From the prayer vigil, I found out that he arrived during a time when the Church really needed a Pastor to bring them back together. In the one year that they were blessed with his presence, the Church fell in love with Pastor Moon. They also felt that he was a true blessing from God and was sent to them to build their church up. They had nothing but a great love for him and had the highest of compliments for him.

Urbanna lost a great man a year ago, but now along with Susanna Wesley, we all lost a great man of God. I cannot grasp that God has taken him from us so early, but can see him as the Choir leader among God's angels.

I pray for his family as they try to get through this most devastating time of their lives. I cannot even imagine what his loss has caused them, but want them to know that so many of his parishioner's loved and cherished him as much as his family.

Hyung was such a special person in our lives. His smile, laughter, warmth and generosity touched our souls. His singing brought us closer to God. He loved his beautiful daughters Erin and Alvina so much, and Yeon was a compassionate and devoted wife to him, and did so much for this outstanding family.
My favorite memory was after a church service in Urbanna, he announced to me, “ Ellis— you will teach my girls how to paint!!” I loved spending time with Yeon and the girls. We will miss him greatly!

We will be out of town and will not be able to attend Reverend Moon's service. I just want to share our love and respect for this Godly man. Reverend Moon brought so much joy to Urbanna United Methodist Church and to the families there. He made many visits to Virginia Payne when she was sick and in hospice. We were so heartbroken to hear about his death but have comfort in knowing he is singing to the angels and to Virginia, Catherine, Beatrice, Carey and Ed. Our prayers to his family. God bless them all.

To the Family of Pastor Moon,

We connected right away, and his smile and voice calmed me whenever I was down. He was my pastor for 3 years and came to see me at The Virginia Home each month. I always enjoyed his visits. I have pictures and a video of him singing that I will always treasure. I will miss him, but he is better off because I know he is with Jesus.
