James "HOSS" Paul Horbal

Jim served his country bravely from 1993 to present, starting in law enforcement, then as a USG Security Contractor, and most recently as an instructor for the DOD.

Jim enjoyed nothing more than being with his two sons, wife, family, and friends. With his sons and wife, he enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hunting, as well as spending time at the boys’ sporting events. Jim valued quality time with his family and friends enjoying many laughs, beer, and bourbon, and nonstop shenanigans.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Perry-Horbal; sons, James Horbal and Luke Horbal; parents, Elaine and Paul Horbal; sister, Lisa Landry (Chris); nieces, Taylor Whitmarsh and Danielle Langlois; and nephew, Andrew Langlois.

A visitation for James will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, Virginia.
