Jane Veronica Kovar

She graduated from East Hampton High School and Farmingdale College. She married her college sweetheart and love, John F. Kovar, in April of 1960 who preceded her in death in 2012.

Jane loved to shop and shared her love of shopping with her family and friends by providing care packages of the great deals she was able to chase down. Jane was a great cook, and her chocolate chip cookies and pudding were always highly sought after. For many years, Jane worked as an Insurance Agent at Graph Insurance Agency and later as the Bookkeeper at Colonial Williamsburg. Jane was a math whiz and loved solving puzzles. She could be found on Sunday mornings reading the newspaper and doing the crossword puzzles.

Jane is survived by her two sons, Kevin (MaryAnn) and John (Amy); and sister, Dorothy Sayre. She was a proud grandmother of Lauren, Allison, Katie, Colleen, and Kerry. Her brother Tom and sisters Betty and Adele preceded her death. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at Nelsen Funeral Home located at 3785 Strawberry Plains Road Williamsburg, VA 23188, followed by interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
