Fitting of the extremely giving person she was, Janet earned her Master’s degree with a specialty in gerontology, and spent her entire career as a dedicated nurse. Her Christian faith was strong, and she was devoted to her church – most recently Foundations Church. She loved the ocean, which she considered her favorite place on earth. She was also especially fond of weekends at Nags Head with her family.
Above all else, she treasured her roles as beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend.
Janet is survived by her husband, Ronald Savage; two sons, Christian Easton and Kurt Easton (Lisa); grandchildren, Liam, K.J., and Olivia; siblings, Patricia McNamera, Steven Wilde, and Wendy Watts (Douglas). She will also be missed by her best friend, Frances Davis, along with many nieces, nephews, and very close friends.
Services will take place beginning at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 26 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. Burial will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Dr., Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janet’s memory may be made to Foundations Church. 5209 Monticello Ave., Williamsburg VA 23188 or www.foundationschurch.com.
