Born and raised in Central Florida, Jenny carried throughout her life the warmth, grace and charm of a Southern lady. She was a talented pianist, a devoted lover of outdoors and gardening, and even owned her own plant nursery when her children were little. She loved watching sports, including football, basketball, golf and tennis, but especially Duke basketball and the Joe Gibbs era of the Washington Redskins, which led her to NASCAR. She also treasured her time spent hiking in the mountains of western North Carolina, where she found peace, happiness and the love of her life.
Above all, Jenny was devoted to her family. She raised two daughters and two sons and was married to Stuart for nearly 50 years. She chose family time over all else, including doing dishes, and was quick with wit, joy and laughter. She was the peacemaker of the family and had many “Jennyisms”.
Jenny was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart, and her daughter, Kimberly.
She leaves behind her children, Laura Barrow (Joe), Eddie White and Jimy White (Christa); as well as six grandchildren, Rachel (Beya), Andrew, Cody (Cassie), Jayme (Dusty) and Rachael (Jesse); and six great-grandchildren, who will carry her love and memory with them always.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
