Joan Elliott Gardner, born September 21, 1930, passed away on Monday, June 08, 2015, at the age of 84. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Stanley Gardner; sons, Mike Gardner (Laura), John Gardner (Kelly), Robert Gardner, Scott Gardner; grandchildren, Brandy Gardner, Brittney Gardner, Brandon Gardner, Brooke Gardner; great-grandson, Liam Gardner; and her sister, Ruth Gordon Turner.
While being a dedicated employee for 18 years with Wythe Candy, she also had the most important job of raising her four sons. These passions sculpted her into becoming the loving wife, mother and grandmother that she will be remembered and dearly known for.
Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd. Williamsburg, on Friday, June 12 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
