Joan was born on Long Island, New York and spent most of her life there until moving to Virginia in 2001. Over the years, she was active in St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg as a Eucharistic Minister at the 7:15 AM Mass on Sundays, as a member of JOY and as a counter of collections for the Church. She enjoyed her time with the Red Hat Society and the Kingsmill Women’s Social Club. She was also a member of Christopher Wren where she delighted in the classes that were offered to all. She never wanted to stop learning.
