Our dearly departed brother, John, was named at the Mass at St Kenhelm's Church, Bourton on the Water, England on the Saturday Vigil. 25 April, 2021.

I also read the readings at the Mass.

We  pray for the soul of Our Dear Brother and for his eternal rest in the loving arms of Our Lord.

Hugh, twin brother of Richard, and brothers to John.

John was elder brother to my twin and I in his early years in Swansea.  His youthful membership of Swansea Sea Scouts (The 24th) led to a desire for the seafaring life.  After apprenticeship at Cardiff Navigation College and a stint on the Alexander Towing Co. fleet of Swansea tugboats he went on to serve on many ocean going merchant ships.  He had a brilliant career rising to be a Master Mariner and Pilot in shipping lanes around the world.  In his life he was dutifully supported by his wife Elizabeth.  It is nice to know his ashes are scattered in Swansea bay from where it all began.  God bless John.

It’s shocking to hear of John’s passing.
He and Elizabeth  have been friends here in Williamsburg for many years.
He will be missed by those who knew the Welshman.
