John J. Mullins Jr., age 96, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025. He was born in Madison, West Virginia on September 21, 1928 and was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Carr; father, John J. Mullins; two sisters; and two nephews, John McKinney and Stacy McKinney.
He loved long road trips to casinos and always had a great joke up his sleeve. John consistently recognized beauty and loved life, family, travel, and good conversation. Serving in the U.S. Army, John often talked about his days in service to his country.
John is survived by his great-nephew, John McKinney (Nicole); Great-great-niece, Lyric McKinney; niece, Michelle Vest (Jerry); and great-great-nephew, Zack Vest.
A visitation for John will take place on Monday, June 30, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, Williamsburg, Virginia. He will be laid to rest in West Virginia.
