He served 4 years in the US Army, then graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in business.
John moved to Monroe, NY followed by Ramsey, NJ where he had a successful career working for Nabisco Brands, Inc., retiring as President of their Sales and Distribution Division. He owned and operated radio station WENG AM in Englewood, FL until 2004 and then relocated to Williamsburg.
John enjoyed playing many sports, especially golf and was a loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. One of his most proud accomplishments was earning his pilots license.
John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Beverly of 55 years along with their daughters Melaney (Ron McLellan); Amy (Chris Ferrick); Lori (Matt DuBois), his grandchildren Lilly, Colin and Ryan, as well as a sister, Theresa Sager, Brother in law Eugene Behme (Susan), a niece and many nephews.
Visitation and Mass will be at St. Bede Catholic Church, Williamsburg, on Friday, August 17, 2018.
