John Richard Schnaedter

John Richard "Jack" Schnaedter, 84, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, in Williamsburg, VA, after a long illness. Jack was born June 5, 1939 in New Florence, MO to the late Helen Catherine Landrum and Richard Conrad Schnaedter. Left to cherish his memory is Ann, his loving wife and best friend of 61 years; his sons, Kurt (Nicole) and Mark (Jennifer); and grandchildren Jaclyn Ann, Cora Brielle, Nolan Travis and Hallie Sophia; as well as brothers, Rick (Gail), James (Rebecca) and many nieces and nephews. Jack attended the University of Missouri, where he met Ann and graduated from the School of Journalism with a major in advertising. He worked in the advertising departments of MacGregor Sports, the PGA, and the Athletic Institute in Chicago, then was a writing manager for Allstate before relocating to Virginia as Corporate Information and Employee Communication Manager for Newport News Shipbuilding. A lifelong athlete, Jack went to Missouri on a baseball scholarship, played semi-pro ball and was an ardent golfer all his life. Jack and Ann found their perfect life on the courses at Kingsmill where they made many friends. A celebration of life will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3765 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J.
