Judy was born in Orange, NJ and lived with her family in West Orange until her marriage. In 1962, Judy married James Townsend (Jim) who also grew up in New Jersey. Not long after, they moved to Virginia, where Jim had found a job. They joined the local Christian Science church in Hampton and she served in various church positions.
Soon Judy and Jim were joined by their sons, David and Andrew (Andy), who found Judy a loving and caring mother who doted on her kids. The family was eventually joined by grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michelle, who were also adored by their grandmother.
Judy was a very loving relative and friend to all she knew and was very much loved by her husband, family, and by all who knew her. She is sorely missed by all her relatives and friends who keep her memory alive in their hearts and thoughts.
