IN THE CARE OF
Nelsen Williamsburg
After a long, difficult battle with cancer, Katherine Louise Belvin (Wood) 58, of
Williamsburg, VA has passed away peacefully on November 30th, 2021 while
being surrounded by loved ones.
Kathy was born on November 4th, 1963 in Jamestown, NY and was the
youngest child of Clair & Gladys Wood. Kathy graduated from Jamestown High
School. Kathy decided to relocate several years later to Williamsburg, VA where
she has resided ever since.
Kathy was one of the strongest, determined, loving, witty, supportive, funny, &
loyal people you would ever know. Kathy was also the most dedicated wife & mother
and we were blessed to have her as the head of the family.
Kathy married Glen Belvin on December 5th, 1991 and during their 30 years
they raised 3 daughters Nicole Hackett, Jessica Quesenberry & JoAnne
Shields. Kathy was a fiercely dedicated mom raising all 3 of them to go on to
accomplish great things.
Kathy also loved and adored her 6 grandchildren:
Skylar Hackett, Graysen Hackett, Ava Quesenberry, AJ Shields, Aurora Shields
& Kennedy Shields.
Kathy was a hard working mother and wife who gave all
she could to her family. Family came first & was above all else, a value Kathy
also instilled in all those around her. The hole left by her absence will be
impossible to fill.
Kathy is survived by her husband, her children, grandchildren listed above.
Kathy is also survived by her sisters Susan Colman & Beth Ferrari both from
Jamestown, NY & both currently reside in Williamsburg, VA. As well as many
nieces and nephews who she loved very much.
Kathy was predeceased by her parents Gladys & Clair Wood, Danny Wood,
David Wood all from Jamestown NY and Jackie Ropps from Randolph.
There will be a Celebration of Life service held at Nelsen Funeral Home at 3785
