We are so saddened by this news. Kirsten was such a sweetheart. So warm and friendly from the first time we met her years ago through the Arc. Our loss is certainly God’s gain. Our prayers go out to her family and her many friends. God bless you Kirsten. We will truly miss you.

Well, I want everyone to know Kirsten often called my name out to others and I became popular throughout Williamsburg. I only knew this because her mom told me. LOL!! I probably had some idea about one thing she might have said. Sometimes when she was seated beside me, Kirsten would gesture using her index finger, to a person we knew, to come near because she had something to say. Then point towards me and say, “Janet drinks Champagne!” smile and laugh loudly. I would say, “You talking about me? In front of my face.” Then Kirsten would say, “Yes!” I would tell her, “Girl! I don’t like Champagne but a good whiskey is fine with me. Well, you like beer how about that!” Then we would laugh so loud and hard.
I got to see Kirsten in her work and home environment. What a diligent and helpful lady she was. I often had to tell her to let others do their own jobs and duties. She would say, “Okay”, stop and then return to helping them again because she couldn’t help it and frankly because she loved doing so. I will miss her so much. Kirsten touched my life in so many ways and I made sure she knew. Kirsten was a fine example of love and courage.

My niece, Kirsten had a wonderful full life. My best memory of her was her full out joy dancing the Macarena at a family wedding. She loved music and dancing, participated in many social and sports activities, and had many jobs in the community. She defied all the odds and lived a fulfilling life with her group home family and advocates. We will miss her sweet grin. Rock on in heaven, Kirsten.

I am so honored to have known Kirsten! She was the kindest, most determined and joyful souls I have ever know. Through all her medical struggles She would never allow anyone to know she was in pain however was so empathetic to others she would cry at the thought of her friends being sad or hurt. She will be greatly missed and always remembered as my “turkey/princess” girl. Somewhere I hope she is enjoying a cold bud light or glass or champagne 😊😊❤️
