Larry David Clark passed away on August 29, 2025. He is preceded in death by parents, David and Hazel Clark and sister, Pam Grant. Larry is survived by his wife, Karin and sisters, Sandra Hall, Ginger Hensley, Lana Barlow, Kathy Taylor, and Crystal Mills.
Larry was born in South Carolina and grew up in the Varina, Virginia area. He earned a Bachelor of Science with a major in accounting at Virginia Commonwealth University and became a Certified Public Accountant. Larry’s niche was local government finance. He served as president of the Virginia Government Finance Association. Larry retired from the County of New Kent in 2022 as Assistant Director of Financial Services.
An early passion for Larry was running and he completed the Richmond Marathon multiple times. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, and kayaking. With retirement, he found special joy in wildlife photography. Larry and Karin shared a devotion to animal welfare by supporting rescue organizations and bringing needy animals into their care.
