Larry proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during the Vietnam War, retiring as a Master Chief. During his military career, he served one tour in Vietnam and one extended tour with the RTC, Yorktown, VA; opened the SAR Substation in Eastport, ME; served as the OIC of the USCGC Point Sal (WPB 82352) Grand Isle, LA; took two trips to the Antarctic; and worked as a lighthouse keeper in three lighthouse stations. After finishing his military career in Yorktown, he retired from the Civil Service.
He was a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church, 104 Norge Ln., Williamsburg, where a Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, July 9 at 11:00 AM.
