She graduated from Angier High School, and spent two years of nursing school at Rex Hospital. LaRue was a dedicated homemaker and a receptionist at IBM for 10 years. LaRue loved square dancing and was a member of White Memorial Presbyterian, Raleigh, NC.
She is survived by one son, Rodney Gerald Linnekin; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Linnekin; grandsons, Ryan Gene (Amber) and Erik Rodney (Ashley); and great-grandchildren, Natalie (24), David Eli (14), Addison (12); Watkins (9), and Emmylou (7).
A service for LaRue will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1677 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, Virginia.
