

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bowker.
Lily was a teacher and an artist. She loved to travel, loved flowers and being outdoors. She also loved to read, learn and teach. She and her husband were friends to the birds and she practiced watercolor painting and working in pastels for many years. She had a master’s degree from Radcliffe College and was a docent for several years at the Muscarelle Gallery. She was a resident of Williamsburg for over forty years.
Lily is survived by her sons, Fritz Bowker and his wife, Vicki R. Bowker, Tom Bowker and his wife, Karen S. Bowker and Joel Bowker and his wife, Nancy S. Bowker; her daughter, Molly Bowker; grandchildren, Ryan, Quinn, Marianna and Nolan; great-grandchild, Benett; her brothers, Ernest Root (Carol), Peter Fournier (Christine) and Gerard Fournier (Lois); and a host of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA.
