Linda Ann Dagostino, 71, of Williamsburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025. Born on July 3, 1954, in Schenectady, New York, Linda brought joy, warmth, and a vibrant spirit to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mary Galka, and her cherished in-laws Andrew and Beryl Dagostino. Her sister, Janis Strattner and husband Larry Strattner. As well as her treasured siblings-in-law, Frank Dagostino, Ted LaVigne, Ed Crotty, Ray Rumsey, and Judy Crotty.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Dagostino, and her beloved children: Amanda Mackey (husband Will Mackey), Bill Pozniakas (wife Kelly Pozniakas), and Nicole Dagostino (partner Justin Thomas). Linda dearly held her grandchildren in her heart always: Patrick Mackey, Will (Billy) Pozniakas, Simon Pozniakas, and Miles Pozniakas. She also leaves behind her cherished sister, Agnes LaVigne and her brother, Bill DeMicco, her loyal dog Duffy, and her grand-dogs, Baxter and Louie.
Linda’s heart was one of generosity. She was a passionate supporter of Samaritan’s Purse, Shriner’s, Salvation Army, ASPCA, and the Humane Society, organizations that reflected her compassion for people and her lifelong love of animals, especially dogs.
Born the day before Independence Day, Linda embraced the 4th of July as an extended birthday celebration filled with fun and laughter. She loved Christmas, transforming her home into a magical haven each year with multiple Christmas trees, her famous cookies, and decorations that made the season feel warm, special, and unforgettable.
An amazing baker year-round, Linda brought sweetness, both literally and emotionally, to her family’s lives. She was an enthusiastic football fan with room in her heart for several teams, even rival ones like her Vikings and Packers, but she cheered loudest for her top two: the Philadelphia Eagles and the Buffalo Bills.
Linda found peace in nature, whether sitting outside enjoying the birds or spending time on trips to a lake or mountain house. She especially loved winning games like Yahtzee and Trivial Pursuit, and she enjoyed playing Bunco with neighbors and friends. She was also an avid reader, a lover of music and dancing at home, and someone who deeply valued time spent visiting with friends and family.
Linda’s warmth, humor, generosity, and love created a legacy that will be carried forward by her family and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, honoring Linda’s generous spirit and commitment to helping others.
