
A native of Warwick County, Marguerite was a long time resident of Williamsburg. She worked many years for Williamsburg James City County Schools and retired after 24 years of service. Marguerite was a member of Wellspring United Methodist Church and once served as church treasurer. She was a former member of the Women’s Club of Atlanta, Women’s Club of Williamsburg, and member of the Fort Eustis Historical and Archaeological Association.
Marguerite loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a remarkably strong woman who often enjoyed bantering with others and had a passion for reading.
Marguerite was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Clarice Johnson; her devoted husband, Warren Pratt; and loving daughter, Mary Lou Pratt. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan Dixon; granddaughters Cynthia Brady, Miccah O’Dawe (Colin), Tara Wright (Joseph); and her three great-grandchildren Kaylani, Nolan, and Luke.
A celebration of Marguerite’s life will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Wellspring United Methodist Church, 4871 Longhill Road, Williamsburg, VA.
