Mrs. Snyder, the beloved wife of James L. Snyder, was born on April 14, 1933 in Heathsville, VA. She was the youngest daughter of the late Napoleon and Garnett Newsome.
Mrs. Snyder is a past president of The Williamsburg Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 4639.
She is survived by brothers, James Newsome, Joe (Linda) Newsome and her sister-in-law, Patsy Newsome.
Visitation will be held from 11am -12pm May 11th at Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd. Williamsburg, 23188. The service will follow immediately afterwards. A graveside service will be held at the Coan Baptist Church, 2068 Coan Stage Rd., Heathsville, VA 22473 at 2:45pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Hospice House, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
