He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra K. Ripley.

Matthew was self-employed and worked in the construction industry. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Kerrica Ripley; his son, Logan Michael; his daughters, Kyndal Brianne and Allison Skye; his father, Michael D. Ripley; step-mother, Elizabeth Ripley; brother, Marty D. Ripley; sister-in-law, JoAnn; step-brother, Stephen Humphries; sister-in-law, Jenny; step-sister, Yvonne Renee Ewing; brother-in-law, Adam; and nieces and nephews, Morgan, Taylor, Christopher, Mason, Mallory, Trayton, Savannah, Makenzie, Sierra, Lucas and Gavriella.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 5 from 5-8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA.
