He is preceded in death by his parents, William (Joe) and Leona Bowler; his brother, Ronald J. Bowler; and his sister, Kimberly Bowler McCain.
Born in Missouri, he was raised in Memphis, TN, where he graduated from Memphis State University. Mike served in the U.S. Army with duty stations in Korea, Okinawa and Fort Bragg, NC. After retiring from the Dept. of the Navy as a program analyst, he continued to enjoy the outdoors and discovered that he enjoyed cooking. He was a quiet soul who loved his books, classical music and nature walks.
Mike leaves behind a loving wife of 53 years, Sybilla Marie Bowler; and daughter, Yvonne “Eve” Marie Bowler; sisters, Christine Dozier of Ocala, FL and Janet Sappington of Coldwater, MS; and brother, Richard Bowler of Southhaven, MS. He also had a close relationship with his brothers-in-law, Henry A. Bailey of Ocoee, FL and Robert Bailey of Johnson City, TN.
We will cherish and love him always.
