Michael "Mike" Anthony Callazzo

Survivors include his loving wife Donna; daughters Michele Callazzo (Robert) of New York, Joan Marie Prince (Chris) of Williamsburg, Melissa Parham (Buddy) of Williamsburg, Chanel Callazzo of Williamsburg; his sons Mark Callazzo (Nicole) of Toms River, Mark Callazzo of Williamsburg; his grandchildren Sarah, Katie, Bryce and baby Parham; brother James Callazzo (Joyce) of Georgetown; and his beloved pets Princess and Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents. his brothers Anthony Callazzo (Carmella) of Lodi, and Johnny Callazzo (Theresa) of Newark, and Angelina Emanuel of Beachwood.

Mr. Callazzo was a retired teacher and stand-in principal for Clara B. Worth School in Berkeley Township, New Jersey. He also retired from Foodtown, where he was a night manager. Mr. Callazzo served our country in the Army Reserves as a chef. He was also a substitute teacher in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Mr. Callazzo’s teaching went beyond the classroom, as he never missed an opportunity to teach meaningful life lessons. He had a very giving heart and would do anything for anyone. He was one of the most patient and understanding men you would meet.

Mr. Callazzo enjoyed the simpler things in life and took his time getting everywhere he went. He loved with his entire heart and never let his feelings, whether he was angered or upset, affect his actions. He always showed kindness, respect, passion and love. We can all learn a lesson from the way he lived out his life and cared for everyone.

A visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA on Friday, October 19 from 12 PM to 1PM followed by a service at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Williamsburg Memorial Park.
