Nanci Ann Carrithers

On the evening of April 12, Nanci Ann Carrithers was surrounded by family as she left this life to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While her family and those who knew her will miss her deeply, there is no doubt she is in a better place and no longer has to imagine what her heart will feel as she is surrounded by God's glory. Born to Kenneth and Joanne Scheel in Moline Illinois, she was the oldest of three sisters, Carol Chretien and Sue Lee. Almost 50 years ago she was married and was a loving wife to David Carrithers of EI Paso Illinois. Nanci has two children, Scott Carrithers (wife Lisa) and Angie Grant (husband Stan). The list of loving grandchildren is long, Tyler, Zach, Emily, Walker, Max and Micah who will all deeply miss their Grandmother. The life of Nanci will be celebrated at Williamsburg Community Chapel on Saturday, April 28th at 11:00 a.m. We would like to welcome friends and family join us in celebrating the life and love of our wife, mother and grandmother in Williamsburg Virginia. The family would like to personally thank the medical staff and doctors of Virginia Oncology and MD Anderson in Houston Texas for the care and compassion she experienced. Flowers are welcome. The family wishes that a donation be made to MD Anderson in her name. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Do not let your hearts be troubled.
