Dear Peg,
Nikki and I were just in Lakewood for a "Celebration of Life" for Jill Dangerfield - her husband Pete was my very FIRST FRIEND  some 82 years ago.  Our daughter, Jennifer, joined us as she was a classmate of their son Peter at Horace Mann,  Another member of their class was Judy Beckenbach, and we were shocked to learn her mother, Mary, passed away in September.
And now another shock to learn of Neafie's passing!  Nik and I were so sorry to hear this news and send you our love and deepest sympathy.  We have such wonderful memories of fun times together with you two and feel bad to have been out of touch since your move to Williamsburg.  
.May GOD continue to BLESS you and Rest in Peace Dear Neafie.

Darling Peg, of all things, out of the blue Neafie came to mind.  I thought to check obituaries because, you know, we are of-the age.  Lo and behold, my beloved, Peter passed on May 9, 24.  He went quickly from being up and about but gash and concusion from a fall caused death within 3 days.  We were in shock.  Now, I see Neafie followed in June.  I am so sorry.  We loved Neafie so much.  Bigger than life, he and Peter could capture a room. Those years at Captain’s Cove were magical.  
I’m working on being a widow.  Can’t believe it.  I thought life with Peter would go on forever.  I will be 90 in January.  Still kicking and chewing.  I life in Avon Lake with my son, Gus and his darling wife.  I am fortunate. Hail to you Peg, your sons and all your family.

Dear Peg and family - Neafie was one of my father’s best friends growing up - I still remember his green 1973 Mustang convertible at  Lake Chautauqua, the family trips to Ocracoke  and his many stories of his US Secret Service with  JFK! - I still have the Clipper cigarette lighter from his company  - Neafie was an inspiration for me to become an entrepreneur. He made an  impact that carried me through multiple trade associations and as a business owner.  And my success is built on sharing time with him.
