

Olga Maria González passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 74, in Williamsburg, VA. Born on November 23, 1949, in Puerto Nuevo, Puerto Rico. Olga dedicated her professional career to serving as a Budget Analyst for The Aviation Applied Technology Directorate (AATD) at FT Eustis, VA, from 1986 until her retirement in 2013.
Before her move to Williamsburg, Olga was a devout member of the Warwick Assembly of God in Newport News where she found great solace and community. Her life was a testament to her beliefs, as she was a principled follower of Christ, often engaging religious studies culminating with a visit to Israel and the Holy City of Jerusalem.
Beyond her religious and professional commitments, Olga was a passionate individual with a zest for life. She explored, traveled and lived in various countries and embraced each culture for their individual attributes. At home, she was a dedicated grandmother and a devoted mother, always putting her family first. Her interests also included following politics and enjoying her favorite food, bacon.
Olga is survived by her daughter, Maritza González-DeFidelto (Louis); her son, Jorge González (Jennifer); and her grandson, Giovanni. Olga was preceded in death by her parents, Fidel and Francesca; her brother, Fidel, Jr. and her sister, Ruth.
A private family celebration of her life will be held to honor her memory and legacy. Olga's presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit and teachings will live on through her family and all who knew her.
