

Patricia Louise Dibert O’Neill died September 27 at 4:10 in the afternoon at Riverside Doctor’s Hospital in Williamsburg, VA of stroke related causes. She was born in Altoona, PA and married November 24, 1951 at St. Agnes, in West Chester, PA to Edward F. O’Neill, who preceded her in death in 2009.
Predeceased loved ones include parents, John and Maggie Dibert of Altoona, PA; and sister, Margaret “Peg” Foust of Pottstown, PA. Surviving loved ones include daughters, Patricia Ricciarelli of Williamsburg, VA, and Christina Languido of Lemont, IL; sons, Sean O’Neill of Newtown, PA, and Brian O’Neill of Boyertown, PA; nephew, John Foust of Pottstown, PA; niece, Robin Foust of Downingtown, PA; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Mrs. O’Neill greatly valued her time with nieces, Joey Herkins and her family of Malvern, PA and Liz Levan of Coatesville, PA.
Prior to being a homemaker, Mrs. O’Neill was an award winning vocalist who earned many scholarships to study in Philadelphia and New York. She studied with composer and teacher Alexander Matthews and Coach Stewart Ross’ studio where she rubbed elbows with Metropolitan Opera singers. Among others, Mrs. O’Neill won the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra competition earning her a solo performance with the Philadelphia Orchestra. She was soloist in numerous churches in the Philadelphia and Pottstown areas, most notably at St. Stephens in Philadelphia and First Presbyterian Church of Pottstown. Mrs. O’Neill also assisted her husband with voice lesson and coaching in their home.
Chapel service and interment in Arlington National Cemetery will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 2:45p.m.
