

Col. Green was born in Lewes, Delaware, the son of the late Rev. Robert E. and Cora M. Green. He graduated from Western Maryland College, received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
During his military career, Col. Green served in diverse assignments ranging from Infantry Officer in the 4th Armored Division in Germany during the Cold War; Military Science instructor at the Armed Forces Staff College, Norfolk, VA; to the Adjutant General, Ft. Gordon, GA. He received awards and decorations from The Department of Defense, The United States Army, The Department of the Army and the Air Force National Guard Bureau, and the Republic of South Vietnam. He served several oversea assignments in Europe and Vietnam.
Upon retirement from the Army, he accepted employment with ITT-Hartford in managerial positions, both in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD.
Col. Green is survived by his loving wife, Lyn; daughter, Valerie (Scott); son, Rob (Kim); grandsons, Ryan (Cali) and Taylor Willis (fiancée Jessi); granddaughter, Rachel; and great-grandchildren, Will, John, Mary Alice, and Annie Cate Callahan.
