Although I only had a few chances to work with him I really felt that Bob was going to become an important part of our team at the University of Texas Arlington. Both he and I shared a career that started in the Air Force and included a great deal of work in the defense industry. I really enjoyed talking with him about his work as an engineer, and had a chance to share stories about some of our favorite places to eat at near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio and at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. I am thankful I had the opportunity to get to know him even if it was for too short a time.
