Bobby was born to Thomas “Frank” and Jane (Ledbetter) Shirley. He was the youngest and smallest Shirley, but he made up for it with his big heart and even bigger personality. Bobby was a bright light that brought joy wherever he went, touching the lives of everyone he met simply by being himself. Never meeting a stranger, he was always ready with an outstretched hand and/or a hug introducing himself as, “Hi! I’m Bobby Shirley”. A true patriot, Bob had a deep love for the Dallas Cowboys, Elvis, bowling, crafting, his family, and his faith in God, passions he shared freely and enthusiastically with those around him.
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” ~ Matthew 5:16
Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Frank, and his sister, Linda. He is survived by his mother, Jane; his brother, Tom (Nancy); his sisters, Beverly (Steve) and Susan (Joe); his many nieces and nephews; and his great-nieces and great-nephews.
Private services for the family will be held at a later date.
