Robert Norris Simmons Jr.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert "Bob" Simmons, Sr.; brothers, Ray Canby and David Canby; sister, Debbie Seay; and brother-in-law, Kenny Seay. His beloved service dog, Roxie has also passed.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Heflin; loving wife, best friend, and happily together for 30 years, Tina Simmons; son and daughter by heart, Tommy and Alice Reyns; along with grandson and buddy, Chayse.

Bobby was born August 7, 1963 in Williamsburg, VA. He lived his life and passed in the same home on Ironbound Road.

His love for fishing and sports started at a young age. He played baseball and football on the county league and school teams. Although Bobby's life drastically changed at a young age after being hit by a drunk driver, he never let that stop him from fishing and watching sports, including wrestling.

Bobby enjoyed going on cruises with the love of his life, Tina, going to the casinos, camping, eating chocolate, eating seafood, drinking Mt. Dew, and sweet tea.

He would spend many hours because of his disability just talking with his bird, Sugar Baby, relaxing on the front porch, listening to classic rock, playing Blocks on his phone, and smoking a little weed. Bobby especially loved when he would wave at drivers going by and they would blow the horn.

Bobby will be missed and for those of us that knew Bobby, will never forget the love he had for his family and his big, kind heart.

Bobby always dressed casual and loved the color blue. Please dress casually and wear blue if you would like to celebrate his life on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, Williamsburg, VA, followed by a service beginning at 1:30 PM.
